Christmas Party with Mt. Saint Vincent

Last night the Kfi Team and Kfi Foundation hosted a Christmas party with a great group of kids from Mt. Saint Vincent (MSV) Home.  MSV is a Denver, Colorado-based treatment center for children aged 5 to 12 who face severe behavioral and emotional challenges due to trauma, mental illness, abuse, or neglect.

The party started with some of Heather Kilcoyne’s famous mac and cheese and meatballs.  At Heather’s suggestion, we scrapped the idea of ordering pizza in order to give the kids a well deserved home-cooked meal.  Then we moved into Christmas cookie creation – letting the kids decorate cookies that were baked fresh for them by a local cook earlier in the day.  The MSV bus left the event with several trays full of artistic cookies.

Overall, the event was a great success and I think we brightened the day for a group of kids going through a tough time.  Nicely done Kfi team!
