The K Financial Foundation sponsored Crazy Tee Shirt Day in Denver on July 21, 2011. The K Fi team set up a table in the Denver inner city and handed out tee shirts with fun pictures on them to try to brighten the day for a large group of our homeless customers. The tee shirt themes included SpiderMan, Sponge Bob Square Pants, Scooby Doo, vintage Jefferson Airplane and Star Wars. We also handed out funky hats (Super Man and other themes) socks, toothbrushes, toothpaste over 100 bottles of water, bottles of grape juice and apple juice, bananas, apples and nectarines and crackers. The event was a great success and we estimate that we served over 100 clients in the short time that our supplies lasted. We only had 2 disgruntled customers, which is not bad at all. One was disappointed that we could not fill his order for a Colt 45 tee shirt and the other one demanded that we provide her a wig, which we sadly did not have in our inventory. We will consider these for our next outing. Thanks to all of the people who support the K Financial Foundation and make these events possible.
