K Fi Cleans Up!

The K Fi team enjoyed another successful community service event yesterday.  We started the event at Wal Mart, where we purchased (through the K Financial Foundation) 3 cart loads of buckets, sponges, toilet brushes, and other cleaning supplies.  Although it was fun shopping with the team (especially Lonny and Daniel’s pillow fight) I hope to never set foot in Wal Mart again – that place is overwhelming! After Wally World, we drove to There With Care (TWC) to assemble 20 Cleaning Supply Care Buckets. TWC provides a wide range of fundamental services to children and families during the critical phase of a medical crisis. One of the many ways they support families is to provide Cleaning Supply Care Buckets. These help families with a sick child keep their homes clean, which is essential to ensure that the child has a healthy and safe environment to live in. Many of the families that TWC supports have a child who is immune-compromised and cleaning supplies are absolutely vital.

We formed a five man, highly-organized assembly line and knocked out the 20 buckets in short order.

Once the buckets were prepared, TWC asked us to write a note to include in each bucket.

This was our first event with TWC and it was an incredible experience to learn about the organization, its mission and the way it serves the community.  We look forward to rolling up our sleeves and helping them more this year.  Thank you for all you do TWC!
