The Kfi Foundation sponsored a fundraising event in May to help a local non-profit group. Colorado Haiti Project’s mission is to work in partnership with rural Haitian communities to support their rise out of extreme poverty. They operate with a small staff in Colorado and a host of dedicated volunteers and interns. In Haiti, CHP works in partnership with the Haitian Episcopal Diocese and the Haitian people, to achieve developmental goals that lift communities out of extreme poverty by increasing access to and capacity for foundational educational opportunities, clean water, community and public health, job training and economic self-sufficiency.
With the Kfi Foundation’s $500 sponsorship (which was used to purchase food and beverages for the event), CHP raised $4,035 which will be used to support projects in Haiti. The event was a huge success and raised a great deal of awareness in addition to money.
