The K Financial team hosted the 5th annual Pizza Bowl on April 19, 2011. This is an event that enables us to spend time with and help one of our favorite organizations in Denver — Mount Saint Vincent Home. MSV is a residential home and school for abused, neglected or mentally ill girls and boys mostly ages 5-12. A group of amazing kids joined us for an afternoon of bowling and pizza at Fat Cats in Westminster. We were pleased to teach the kids a few of the highly effective techniques that have contributed to the K Financial team’s success at the bowling alley. These include the “air ball,” in which the bowling ball is launched approximately halfway down the lane and strikes the pins (or other obstacles) while bouncing. We also demonstrated several other ways to roll a perfect gutter ball. A big thank you goes out to Brian Hoff for organizing this event.
After bowling , the K Financial Foundation presented each of our guests with a new Razor scooter to help them zip around the MSV campus a little faster. A big thank you to Angie Simonton for coming up with this idea and shopping for the scooters. We look forward to our next event with the kids from MSV in August, which is our annual Rockies game outing.
