The Kfi team and Kfi foundation hosted a Safari Party with 11 amazing kids from Mount Saint Vincent Home yesterday. Mount Saint Vincent is a Denver, Colorado-based treatment center for children aged 5 to 12 who face severe behavioral and emotional challenges due to trauma, mental illness, abuse, or neglect. MSV specializes in delivering behavioral health services to children and their families, helping children reach their full potential within their homes, schools, and communities.
The kids from MSV were able to touch and hold many of the animals that attended the party, including a tarantula, bearded dragon, geckos, a corn snake, a ball python, a blue tongue skink, a water dragon and the main attractions: a giant red tailed boa constrictor and a wallaby. Many of the kids, including our very own Ian McGee, confronted and conquered their fears by holding the snakes. We also were introduced to a scorpion that glowed in the dark. The party was a huge success!
